STORIES HE NEVER TOLD ME (2023)

Graphic Design, AI Prompting
My dad passed away at the beginning of 2023. After his passing, I of course started going through his belongings and realized that there was a lot of things I didn’t know about my dad: things he did, places he went, etc. And I also realized that he would never be able to tell me. So using his photographs and AI, I created visual narratives to help add more context to the little snapshots that I did have by basically expanding the photographs beyond their edges.

THE UNOBSERVED (2022)

Graphic Design, World Building, Copywriting, 3D Modeling & Rendering, Branding
The Unobserved was a fun storytelling side project I did while I was taking a break from design full-time.

I’m really interested in artifacts and how they can tell stories. So the idea behind this was to create images that served as artifacts of a fake lost civilization, including creating a new alphabet. However, I also wanted to acknowledge the fact that these were digitally created images, so I created the artifacts using voxels so that they inherently had that computer-generated feel both in how they look and how they have worn over the millennia that has supposedly passed by since their creation.

The idea was that there was a completely forgotten civilization, called the Symmerians. They existed about 10,000 BC and had technology even greater than our own. The most important existing relic from the Symmerians is an artifact, referred to as The Stone. It is essentially a Rosetta Stone connecting our world to their’s. However, The Stone itself appears to be only a few decades old, while everything is was discovered with is about 12,000 years old. This unexplained mystery tells modern archaeologists that the Symmerians may still be here.

KAHONE CONCEPT LOGO REDESIGN (2022)

Graphic Design
Kahone Concept is a Pittsburgh-based musician who asked me for assistance creating a new logo for him as he was going through a major rebrand. After working through various options, we eventually landed on the current logo, which seems a bit more timeless and is able to be used in several contexts, including merch, stage props, social media graphics, etc.

JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING ONE LAST TIME (2021)

Graphic Design, Copywriting
In 2020, a relationship I had been in for over three years ended and really crushed me, but after a year of being stuck in a liminal space of not fully accepting the break up, I made JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING ONE LAST TIME as a sort of final goodbye to relationship.

Made up of dozens of poems and letters that I had written for her over the three years we were together, as well as three paintings that I made in the time after we broke up, the piece was meant to encapsulate all of my feelings, both good and bad, so that I could finally move on.
